Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at The Burlington Creek Senior Living we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, The Burlington Creek participates in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time where staff can be open and honest about their feedback. The data is collected by a third party, so it truly is anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make our community a great place to work.

As the Business Office Director, I prioritize promoting employee appreciation. I make it a point to recognize our hard-working team members. We have a volleyball team, The Burlington Creek Beavers, and love playing weekly with both residents and staff. To support our team, we keep the employee breakroom stocked, knowing how hard everyone works and sometimes we all need a pick-me-up. Every morning, we start with a positive vibe to set the tone for the day ahead.

We believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us agreat place to live.
