My favorite was a turkey, ham, and cheese sandwich with all the fixings. It’s still my go-to for a late-night snack. As much as I liked to take my lunch, I usually had to buy it due to family finances.

If I could create one school lunch item from scratch, it would be spaghetti and meatballs. Making it from scratch brings out better flavor and presentation than the canned sauce and overcooked pasta I ate as a child. The food at school was never appetizing.
